Postpartum Supports

The postpartum period is full of intense adjustments and transitions.
I'm here to help make the transition into parenthood or the addition of another child, feel more relaxed & tender. As you focus on healing & connecting with your growing family, i'll take care of you, your family, and your home. My goal as your care provider is to combine healing traditional postpartum practices with your modern life - making it fit, but also reminding you to surrender to the moment and slow down.

What is a Doula?

What Is A Postpartum Doula?
A postpartum doula is a compassionate and knowledgeable support professional who helps families adjust to life after childbirth. With a holistic approach, I support new mothers and families by nurturing both body and mind during this transformative time, ensuring a smoother transition into the early postpartum period.

My area of focus as a doula is working with clients in the first 40 days of postpartum. I'm passionate about supporting the period immediately following birth as it is a crucial time for physical and emotional recovery for the birthing parent. It is also a time of massive transition for the support parent, as well as any older children who may be in the home (& fur bbs too!).

In addition to being a certified doula, I am also a lactation consultant & classically trained chef.
This extra training and experience allows me to uniquely support you during this sensitive & very intimate time. My work as a lactation consultant will allow me to guide you in identifying and reaching your child feeding goals - whether that is getting breastfeeding going off to a good start, exclusively pumping, or planning for the future.  My culinary background and education in nutrition allow me to feed you restaurant quality dishes that are geared towards supporting your healing & encouraging optimal milk making.

What Will Our Time Together Look Like?
What our time together looks like will vary greatly from family to family and will depend largely on how much time we have together every day and how long I am with your family, as well as your personal needs and goals!
But to give you an idea, picture this - you lay in bed, resting after your birth. Your partner is next to you napping, and your baby skin to skin on your chest. You breathe in the smell of their sweet milky breath and feel their soft skin on yours. You all rest, connect, taking one another in, with absolutely nothing else on your to do list because I'm there to make sure your home is refreshed & cozy, your essentials are at your fingertips, and healing meals are brought to you in bed. I'll give you tender relaxing massages, prep your baths & foot soaks, & stock your postpartum healing essentials, diaper caddies, and so much more.

You prioritize deep rest, healing, and connection while I take care of the rest. Along the way, if you need someone to talk to, I'm there. If you need someone to help with your latch, i'm there. If you need someone to watch baby so you can close your eyes, I'm there. I'll stock your fridge and leave you with nourishing meals to support you while I'm not around & help your partner feel confident in their roll caring for you and baby.

What duties could be included (not limited to this):

Postpartum Chef Service

Holistic & Specialized Culinary Care for Expecting and Postpartum Families
As a classically trained, holistic private chef with a specialized focus on lactation and postpartum nutrition, I provide meals that are thoughtfully curated to support the unique needs of individuals during pregnancy and the postpartum period. My approach to cooking goes beyond simply providing nourishing & delicious food—it’s about healing, replenishing, and ensuring that new parents have the energy and support they need to thrive.
Each dish is designed to prevent depletion, promote recovery from birth, maintain and boost lactation, and help guard against postpartum depression (PPD). I offer custom in-home private chef services, creating personalized menus tailored to the needs of expecting parents and those recovering from birth.

In the future, I will be launching weekly postpartum meal plans for families to easily sign up for a week's worth of nourishing, convenient meals. Additionally, I will be offering thoughtfully designed postpartum care gift boxes, perfect for those wishing to gift newly-minted parents with the gift of healing nourishment. Be sure to keep an eye out for the release of these services!
